| So, my friend Kitsune39 just got a beautiful new tattoo on her back. Because our readership is not on-to-one and as many who read this blog have/like to view tattoos, and because it's a break from mine, I'm going to post the pic of her new skin art (with her permission, of course.) Feel free to comment at her web site, link here.

| | I might be off to Japan sometime in the not-too-distant future. There's this Japanese woman who owns a Native American jewelry shop in Kobe Japan, and she called me up and said she was openning a southwestern cuisine restaurant. She wants to fly Vada and I out to (I assume) Kobe as 'consultants' (says she's going to pay for the hotel room, too.) This should be really interesting, assuming it comes to pass. Hey, that means my Japanese skills will be a couple thousand dollars closer to paying for themselves!! | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |
| | am getting worked on this moment, as I write (type) these very characters into my mobile. I must say, some of those areas behind my leg are quite sensitive ... more later. | comments: Leave a comment |
| What's new in the land of Nick? This ...

This is, of course, after only one session. There will be more ... hopefully the pictures of my naked ass isn't too tramatic for anyone out there ... | comments: 11 comments or Leave a comment |
| So, it's been, what, one, two months since I've posted? I'm (way) overdue ...
First of all, the restuarant has been super over-the-top busy, and it's not the tourist season. I'm happy, of course. It's a simple equation: busy = money.
Second off, I'm at 184 pounds, the least I've weighed since 1994. That's kinda cool. I'm celebrating with cheesecake and a mocha. I might be at 187 tomarrow :)
Third, V and I are doing much better. We just renewed our vows on our 10 year wedding aniversery. It was a small ceremony with just a few friends, with a little celebration at Rio Chama's bar afterward.
Fourth ... I don't know, what's fourth? I'm working on cartooning. It's something I've always wanted to do, and I have some talent, but I never gave it a serious try. I'm working on a Khemri army for fantasy. Not that I need another army; not that everyone understands what I'm saying. Along the same lines, we're playing a campaign right now (I'm playing Lizardmen.) V and I are looking for a new abode.
More later, All! N | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| Hey Everyone!
Sorry to shout, but you can see Tia Sophia's, as well as your's truly, on the Food Network tonight and tomarrow! The show is Giada's Weekend Getaway, Santa Fe episode, of course ... check your local television provider for details on the time.

| OK ... here's the deal ... forget "The Brother's Grim". Forget "Alice in Wonderland". Forget "Mirrormask" (sorry, I know there's a bunch of N Gaiman fans in my audience, but ...)
Go out and see Pan's Labrinth. OMFG was it just incredible. If I have seen a better movie in ten years, I can't think of it. "Pirates"? No. "Matrix"? Not even the first one. "Serenity"? Sorry, not as good.
Go. And. See. Pan's. Labrinth. Do not take the kids, its not that kind of faerie tale. | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| First of all, thanks to Josh for hooking us up with some Japanese num-nums. They are fantastic. How do the Japanese do it? Its like its sugar fortified with sugar. Its like they can cram more sugar into some unit of volume than the laws of chemistry would normally allow. Thanks Josh, you're great!
Next .. let's see .. I went skiing for the first time in 19 years on Sunday. That was a trip, I took some lessons, went down the slope more than a dozen times. I only fell twice up to my very last run, when I ate snow about 4 times. I think my legs were tired at that point. Anywho, I think I might make runs up the Ski Santa Fe a more permanent part of life. Just as cool, on the way down, I stopped off at Ten Thousand Waves, Santa Fe's onsen ... well, fuyu, really. At any rate, it was a great way to clean off and warm up.
Other news - our illustrious govener, Mr Bill Richardson, threw his proverbial hat in the 2008 ring. Friends, I ask you to consider this man. He's a fairly mainstream democrat with a helluva resume including time as a representative, as the US embassador to the UN (ooohhh .. foreign policy experience!), and a state governer. I think he'd make a great pres, and he has my vote.
I'm sure there is other stuff I wanted to touch on, but I've forgotten what. It'll make me post again sooner when I remember, anyway.

| I feel I should post to my journal, yet I'm not sure what to say (not that I don't have things to say) or how to say them. I'm deep in the emotional shit at the moment. See, there you go, damn it, I don't know what else to say ... wounds are still too fresh to go into any real detail ... well, any detail at all, and I can't use names (have to protect the guilty.) Ugh. Ugh!! Suffice to say, I'm in a shit storm of epic proportions. And there is nothing more to say .. anything else going on in my life has no significance for me, and doesn't merit talking about here.
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| | So I opened up a new my space account, and I have to say, I'm already nausiated by all the crap advertising and similar shit on it. LJ may have fewer features, but I really appreciate not having crap rammed down my throat. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| I can't believe Nukestock is over and done with. I really had a lot of fun, as did everyone, I'm sure. I can't believe some of the folks who showed up .. I really didn't think I'd ever see Marcus Wells again!
(Which, uhm, reminds me .. did anyone get his contact info??!! I, uhm, forgot to.)
And Ren, haven't seen him in over a decade. James Steeleman in the cool Bender costume.
Seeing Rayanne's children all grown up had to be the end-all, though. They are so ... big. No longer, you know ... stick figures. And very intelligent young ladies, they are too. The younger is taking biochem as a major (HOLY SHIT) and has tons of cool skin art, too boot.
I'm also happy to meet some of the new folks. That's another email, however.

| So, KDep and his girlfriend T came up and visited us from Las Cruces over Labor Day. It was good to see him, V and I had a lot of fun showing them around and eating way, way too much. Of particular fun was the hiking trip we took up to Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks up by Cochiti Pueblo. I snapped a number of shots, some of the best ones to follow:

| | So, I bought V a BMW 535i yesterday. It's a 1990 vehicle, which is kinda old, true, but it only has 90K miles on it, which isn't bad. And it accelerates real, REAL nice. 'Course, now V's gotta get over her phobias about driving. | comments: Leave a comment |
| I'm getting old. I had two and a half glasses of wine last night and I wasn't worth s*** today.

Upper detail ...

Lower detail ...

After one session ...

After the second session ...

After the third session ...

O.K., so, sorry for the gratuitous pics I just threw up all over your friends page. I would've 'hidden it behind the cut' if I knew how to do that. I just wanted to get these pics up; it's been quite a journey. | comments: 12 comments or Leave a comment |
| I'm in the tattoo parlor awaiting the final (probably!) coloring. Pics will be forthcoming.
PS - Saw Pirates yesterday. Possibly my favorite movie in years (since the last one?) I especially liked Jack Davenport's character. He's much better here! I'd say more but that'd be a spoiler. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| JettD and Antygoni both pointed out that my links on my last post were goobered up. He are the non-goobered ones. Note that, this is me in a wet suit and, as such, accomidations need to be made accordingly. One example would be to view these on an empty stomach!
